Dryer Vent Cleaning

Category : Uncategorized

How to prevent clothes dryer fires……. Very few people realize the danger of clothes dryer fires. Lint accumulation and reduced airflow provide conditions for fire to lurk. Lint is a highly combustible material. A number of dryer vent problems contribute to this. As you know, from cleaning out your lint filter, dryers produce large quantities of lint. The lint trap does NOT catch all the lint produced. Lint can build up on the heating element and other places inside the dryer. The dryer duct should vent to the exterior without any blockage. The pipe will run from inside to the outside of the home, usually up and out the roof or outside wall of the home. Disconnect, clean and inspect the dryer run on a regular basis, or hire a professional company to clean the dryer duct. By keeping your dryer clean, not only will it significantly reduce a fire hazard, it will save money allowing your dryer to run more efficiently and last longer.

Recommended cleaning every 1-3 years, depending on usage. Have the dryer inspected and thoroughly cleaned out by a qualified service technician.
